Ganoderma (Reishi) Mushroom
What is Ganoderma?
For thousands of years, Ganoderma Lucidum has been recognized by practitioners of traditional Asian medicine as the highest rank of all herbs found in the Chinese pharmacopeia. The Chinese name for Ganoderma, Lingzhi, means “spiritual potency,” while the Japanese name, Reishi, can be translated as the “King of Herbs”.
Dr. Shi-Jean Li, the most renowned Doctor of the Ming Dynasty, strongly endorsed the effectiveness of Ganoderma in his famous book Great Pharmacopeia. In it, he wrote to that Long-term use of Ganoderma will build a strong, healthy body and ensure a long life.
Organo is the only North American company that has partnered with the largest certified organic Ganoderma plantations in the world to bring this treasure of life to the Western world. In 2009, Organo and its partners celebrated the groundbreaking of their $240 million Gano Herb industrial park, the largest of its kind in the world.

Why is the king more expensive?
The King coffee from Organo is more expensive for two reasons:
1. The king coffee itself is organic
2. The king coffee contains a therapeutic dose of reishi spores. The outer cracked shell of the reishi mushroom takes 5-7 months to harvest and is 17x more potent than normal reishi mushroom. All of the products contain organic reishi, but the King contains the spore powder. It takes 2,000 lb of spore powder to make 2 lb of Spore capsules. This spore powder is infused into the king coffee. It's actually quite a remarkable process.
What is the difference between the black coffee and the King coffee?
The Black coffee is a darker roast and contains organic reishi fruiting body powder (ganoderma lucidum). For those that like a highly affordable cup of healthy coffee and want to promote healthier detoxification, this is your go-to sachet. The Black coffee is not organic but the mushrooms are.
The King coffee is organic and contains organic reishi spores. This is your top shelf product. As far as taste goes, it is a bit milder and has a delicious earthy taste to it.
