If you're a local foodie or health conscious traveler, these Top 10 Healthy Casual Dallas Restaurants will not leave you disappointed. As a Nutritionist, I wanted to find the most nutritious food spots that still tasted amazing. I narrowed it down based on personal experiences, recommendations from fellow foodie friends and whether or not the restaurant offered sustainably sourced meat and/or seafood. If you're searching for a delicious, waist-loving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, appetizer or cocktail, this list has you covered. In no particular order, here are my top 10 favorite places to grab a healthy bite in Dallas, Texas.

Company Café is a restaurant concept that brings natural, fresh fare to the Lowest Greenville area, passionate about serving Dallas great-tasting comfort food with a healthy twist.

Open 7 days a week for breakfast, brunch or lunch with menu items ranging from tacos, omelets, grass-fed beef scrambles, vegan scrambles, paleo bowls, sweet potato hash, chicken fried steak, gluten-free french toast, build your own gluten-free pancakes, smoothies, loaded sweet potato fries, burgers, salads, healthy cocktails, kombucha and gluten free chocolate chip cookies.

Mudhen Meat and Greens was named Dallas' best farm-to-table restaurant, offering a huge assortment of healthful options including but not limited to matcha lattes, bulletproof coffee, grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, pasture-raised Vtial Farms eggs, and whole 30 approved bowls. I highlighted a few menu standouts below.

Drinks: Cold Brew Matcha Latte using MCT oil and coconut milk; Crack Coffee with MCT Oil & Grass-fed Butter (hot or cold); Bone Broth; Lean Green Juice (celery, kale, chard, dandelion greens, parsley, cucumber and ginger)

Soup, Salads & Sandwiches: Soup (changes daily); Market Salads; Stuffed Avocado with pulled curry chicken; Massaged Kale Salad; Grass-Fed Beef Burger; Chicken Salad Sandwich *sandwiches served with choice of sweet potato chips or raw vegetables*

With simple, clean food, classic drinks and a rooftop overlooking Dallas, you really can not go wrong. HG serves everything from avocado toast and vegan queso to poke bowls and bison chili. All items may be prepared gluten & dairy free.

HG offers House Bowls: Choose a Hunted protein (chicken, quinoa meatballs, shrimp, salmon) and a Gathered signature base (stir fry, yellow curry, fried "rice", zucchini "pasta"). You can also Build Your Own custom bowl with options like sweet potato hash, kale salad, grilled avocado or honey-garlic brussel sprouts. Don't forget dessert, like their current Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Pizookie.

Origin Kitchen & Bar offers amazing paleo and Whole 30 approved meals. One of my favorite Dallas Bloggers, Alexis Belbel, creates her own meal by ordering the salmon + roasted brussels + sauteed veggies.

A few menu highlights include their Paleo Hummus; Veggie Omelet (Pasture-raised eggs, spinach, tomato, bell pepper, shallots, mushrooms, pesto); Gluten Free Chicken & Waffles (honey glazed fried chicken breast, paleo waffle, maple syrup, and powdered sugar); Acai Granola Bowl; Build your Own Bowl- choose from pasture rasied chicken, grass-fed beef, or salmon + a healthy side; Grass-Fed Beef Burger; Thai Salmon

Kozy Kitchen was voted Dallas' best gluten free restaurant. If you're a breakfast lover, you will be happy to know Kozy serves breakfast all day long.

A few breakfast standouts include the Hangover Helper (Sautéed Grass-Fed Buffalo, Mushrooms & Spinach topped with 2 Eggs scrambled, Guacamole & Kozy Salsa; Veggie Connection (Open Faced Omelet with Fresh Tomatoes, sliced Avocado & all the Veggies you can handle); Stuffed French Toast (Our Famous Challah French Toast stuffed with a Yogurt Cream Cheese Filling, Fresh Bananas & Berry Compote, can be made GF)

For lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with the Wild Salmon, Chicken Marsala, Grass-Fed Filet with Sauteed Veggies, or Grilled Chicken Penne Alfredo. All pastas are gluten free. Vegan and Vegetarian options as well.

At Flower Child, they make everything from scratch, using fresh ingredients guided by the Dirty Dozen list. They serve healthy food that takes you to a happy place, whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, paleo, dairy-free, gluten-free or just hungry. 

At Flower Child, I order a modified version of the Mother Earth Bowl to make it gluten free. To make it gluten free, sub quinoa instead of ancient grains, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, charred onions, leafy greens, sub avocado lemon dressing instead of red pepper miso vinaigrette, hemp seed. I add sustainable salmon on top and always order the kombucha on tap!

Roti Modern Mediterranean is a restaurant serving Rice Plates using Non-GMO Basmati and Wild Rice from Lundberg Farms, Pasture-Rasied & Grass-Fed Beef, Sustainable Salmon, Antibiotic Free Chicken, Lamb, Salads, Gluten Free Pitas, Wraps and Sandwiches, Flatbread Pizzas and a ton of healthy sides and sauces including Red Cabbage Slaw, Fresh Vegetables, Hummus made with organic chickpeas and tahini. You can choose from their menu items or build your own bowl with any ingredients, similar to that of a chipotle line.

There's so many options but a few standouts are Vanilla Chia Pudding, Banana Oats with Almond Butter, Vegan Chocolate Pie, Raw Dark Chocolate Bites, and Paleo Matcha Lemon Muffins

Sundown's Tagline is Real Music. Real Food. Real Local. It's a fun weeknight or weekend spot to grab good food and drinks while listening to live music. They have a pretty impressive beverage menu with fun seasonal cocktails, beer and wine. The seasonal infusions combine fresh fruit and herbs with quality spirits.

Sundown serves a little bit of everything! For dinner, you can find Flat Bread Pizzas, Sundown Burger that uses grass-fed beef (+ Vital Farms Egg or Avocado on top) with Sweet Potato Fries or House-Made Falafel, Vegetarian Black Bean Buddha Burger, and my favorite menu item, the Seasonal Organic Kale Harvest Salad (Arugula, Kale, Raddichio, Chili Pecans, Goat Cheese, Pickled Red Onion, Fuji Apple, Pomegranate Balsamic Vinaigrette), with a piece of Wild-caught Salmon on top. 

For brunch, keep it simple with The Sunrise at Sundown (2 Vtial Farms Eggs Any Style, Applewood Smoked Bacon and Toast) or get fancy with The Bananas Foster French Toast (Vanilla-Almond Dipped Sourdough, Bananas, Banana Rum Syrup, Applewood Bacon). Most notable is their Big Bend 2.0- Dallas' 1st Vegan Benedict (Quinoa Veggie Patty, Kale, Heirloom Tomatoes, House Salsa, Avocado Chipotle Crema, on a Gluten-free English Muffin).

 Great for Weeknight/Weekend Dinner & Drinks or Weekend Brunch
